The BELplus RES device is a digital protection relay designed to protect and monitor medium- and low voltage switchgears installed at distributed generation sites connected to the distribution network via a LV/MV transformer, e.g. at fotovoltaic farms.
In addition to its protection functions, the device also acts as a telemechanics unit (remote metering, remote signalling and remote control), serves as a fault recorder, and implements a range of automation functions and station interlocks.
