Features and application

The APA 30 type circuit breaker is used to switch operating currents and protect low-voltage electrical circuits against the effects of overloads and short circuits.

The circuit-breaker may also be fitted with a switching surge arrester, e.g. the V NH00 280, mounted in a size 00 fusebase. It serves as a retrofit for the APU 30 circuit-breaker in the withdrawable version.

As the APU 30 circuit breaker base is reused, the replacement process is quick, safe and requires no modifications to the switchgear.

The APA30 circuit breaker, complete with accessories, is mounted on an APU 30 moving carriage and operates in conjunction with a plug-in base fitted to the switchgear support structure.

The assembly is slid into position using a lever. The control circuits are connected to a terminal strip and plug-in terminals.

Control circuits protected by 6A fuses.
