The BRG 3 is a device designed to provide connectivity between building controllers and the monitoring system within radio communication networks. The device’s built-in radio modem, Ethernet port and wide range of physical link standards and protocols enable it to function as a communication hub for a building equipped with a large number of devices.
The controller acts as a data concentrator – it collects and stores information from subordinate building controllers and input/output modules in its own database, and then makes it available to master devices, such as control centre servers. BRG 3 is adapted to the IT security requirements imposed on state-of-the-art IT systems, supporting connection security methods and data encryption.
Communication can be secured using exchanged symmetric and asymmetric keys and certificates in the following communication modes: cyclic and on-demand. Communication security may also include authentication of the user making changes and data integrity.
