The TCS 48 capillary thermometer is a pressure thermometer designed to measure temperature in locations where the reading is taken at a point other than the sensor. The device consists of a capillary system and a head containing a dial with a scale and a pointer that transmits the reading from the sensor. The thermometer operates on the principle of the expansion of the liquid in the sensor, which causes the coil and pointer to move in proportion to the temperature.
