Debata PAP 7

How can we build a strong domestic value chain and increase the participation of Polish companies in strategic investments? This was the topic of discussion among representatives of the public administration, the business sector and state-owned companies during the PAP Biznes debate “Local Content – how to build your own value chain”, which was partnered by Apator SA.

Participants in the debate agreed that the development of local content is a long-term process requiring cooperation between the administration, investors and domestic suppliers. It is of particular importance in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructure, industry and new technologies, where multi-billion-pound investments are being made.

A boost for Polish businesses

During the discussion, it was emphasised that local content should not simply mean favouring domestic entities, but rather creating conditions for the development of local expertise, innovation and supply chains. The need to develop reliable and verifiable rules that would allow for an increase in the participation of Polish companies in projects of strategic importance to the economy was also highlighted.

Domestic technologies in the era of modernisation

The Apator Group was represented during the debate by Monika Pietkiewicz, press spokesperson and ESG manager. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of building domestic technological expertise and strengthening Polish suppliers in the face of growing investment in energy transition and infrastructure modernisation.

Strategic conclusions for the Polish economy

The debate showed that local content is increasingly seen not only as a tool for supporting the economy, but also as a means of building national resilience, security of supply and the long-term competitiveness of Polish industry.
