Stable sales and increased profitability in Q1 2025
The Apator Group successfully provides its customers with modern solutions for managing energy and water. In the first quarter of 2025, there was a rise in customer interest, particularly in water metering solutions.
- Consolidated sales revenue in Q1 2025 stood at PLN 283.7 million (-4% y/y), due to temporarily lower sales in EE (PLN 124.6 million, -7% y/y) offset by double-digit growth in Water and Heat (PLN 100.7 million, +14% y/y), alongside lower revenue in the Gas segment (PLN 58.4 million, -20% y/y).
- The Apator Group’s consolidated EBITDA in Q1 2025 stood at PLN 35.0 million (+10% y/y), contributing to an increase in profitability (+1.6 pp y/y) and comparable y/y net profit (PLN 12.2 million, +1% y/y).
- Domestic sales accounted for approximately 57% of the Group’s revenue.
- Strong operating cash flow of PLN +42.0 million financing the Group’s development investments.
- Further reduction of debt and the net debt/EBITDA ratio to 0.53x by the end of Q1 2025 (vs 0.68x at the end of 2024).
- Work is currently underway on an innovative electricity meter for Enea Operator as part of an innovation partnership – we signed the contract at the end of January 2025 and deliveries are scheduled for later this year. In the coming months, we will also be stepping up our efforts to reach existing and new customers both domestically and abroad with our solutions, including those in the field of ultrasonic technology, a new range of DIN-rail meters for distributed power generation and industrial applications, energy storage and other RES solutions – adds the President of the Management Board of Apator SA. – We also view our sector and the entire market with satisfaction and a great deal of optimism in light of the declared shift in EU policy towards the reindustrialisation of Europe, the strengthening of local content, and the increasing emphasis on the origin and cybersecurity of technologies. We are counting on concrete action from the Polish Government, thanks to which Polish technology companies, such as the Apator Group, will be able to make better use of their know-how to build new competencies and competitive advantages for our country – adds Maciej Wyczesany.
