Operating environmental conditions

The switchgear aredesigned for operation in a temperate climate and are suitable for installation in the following environmental conditions:

• in enclosed spaces free from dust and chemical gases that are active or pose an explosion hazard, and free from electrically conductive dust

• at an ambient temperature:
– short-term peak +40°C (313 K)
– highest daily average +35°C (308 K)
– lowest sustained temperature: -25°C (248 K)

Switchgear construction

The cuboid frame structure of the switchgear is constructed from thin-walled perforated sections with a semi-closed U-profile measuring 50x25. The pitch is 25 mm. The sections are joined together using corner connectors. Depending on the configuration and intended use, the load-bearing frame is supplemented with additional horizontal and vertical sections made from sections joined by straight and angle connectors.

The switchgear frame is made of electro-galvanised sheet metal.
The frame is covered at the top and sides by fixed covers, and at the front by a removable cover and a door, behind which there is a mounting plate. The covers and door are made of 1.5 mm thick sheet metal, powder-coated, as standard in RAL 7032.

The door opening angle is approximately 90°.

As the switchgear are typically installed against a wall, the rear is open as standard, but may be additionally covered with a flat cover made of galvanised sheet metal or with bent, painted covers, subject to prior agreement with the manufacturer.

Standards compliance

The switchgear meet the requirements of the following standards:

• PN-EN 60439-2003+A2:2006 “Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear. Part 1: Assemblies tested to full and partial type tests.”

• PN-EN 60529-2003 “Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP rating)”

Dimensions

The dimensions of the switchgear depend on their configuration.
The standard height of the switchgear is 1850 mm.
The width and depth of the switchgear depend on the selected supply and outgoing units.
