TN-C-S, TT and IT systems

Options

Capable of operating in TN-S, TN-C, TN-C-S, TT and IT systems.

The LV switchgear can be supplied directly or via a main switch disconnector; the following can be used as the main device:

  • a strip-type fuse switch disconnector
  • rotary isolating switch
  • fuse switch
  • or another device, subject to agreement with the manufacturer

The RTEa type LV switchgear may be equipped with:

  • current and voltage monitoring
  • a CT energy measurement system
  • outdoor lighting unit
  • a capacitor for transformer no-load compensation
  • a capacitor bank
  • surge protection

Standards compliance

The switchgears comply with the following standards:
• PN-EN 60439-2003 “Low-voltage switchgears and controlgear. Part 1: Assemblies tested to full and partial type tests.”
• PN-EN 60529-2003 “Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP rating)”
• It holds a certificate issued by the Institute of Power Engineering in Warsaw

Busbar system

All busbars and busbar connections are made of copper with a cross-section adapted to the rated currents. The main phase busbars are spaced 185 mm apart, to which terminal blocks are fitted. The PEN protective-neutral busbar for a 4-wire system, complete with V-type terminals (or screws), is located in the lower part of the switchgears.

Operating environmental conditions

The switchgears aredesigned for operation in a temperate climate and are suitable for installation
under the following environmental conditions:

in enclosed spaces free from dust and chemical gases that are reactive or pose an explosion hazard, and free from electrically conductive dust
– ambient temperature:
– short-term peak +40°C (313 K)
– highest daily average +35°C (308 K)
– lowest sustained temperature: -25°C (248 K)

Switchgears design

The openwork frame structure is constructed from thin-walled perforated sections with a semi-closed C-section profile measuring 50x25. The perforation pitch is 25 mm. The sections are joined together using corner connectors. Depending on the configuration and intended use, the load-bearing frame is supplemented with additional horizontal and vertical sections, joined using straight and angle connectors. All structural components are made of electro-galvanised sheet metal.
