Find out what the RTL switchgears have to offer

The RTL-type low-voltage switchgear is designed for the power supply to low-voltage electrical equipment. It has wide application in commercial power substations, industrial plants, department stores and other facilities.

Cables can be connected without crimping
cable ends

Suitable for use in TN-S, TN-C, TN-C-S, TT and IT systems

Options

An RTL-type LV switchgear on the power supply may be equipped with a main circuit breaker enabling the switchgear to be switched off under full load.

The following may be used as the main switch:

  • a strip-type fuse switch disconnector
  • rotary isolating switch
  • compact circuit-breaker
  • air circuit breaker

The RTL LV switchgear with feeders can be equipped with:

  • strip-type fuse switch disconnectors, e.g. ARS
  • vertical fuse rails
  • other components by arrangement with the manufacturer

The branch circuit devices are mounted directly onto the copper busbars. Spaces reserved for the installation of additional strip-type devices are covered with insulating covers

Additionally, the LV switchgear may be equipped with:

  • current and voltage monitoring
  • a CT energy metering system, an outdoor lighting circuit
  • a capacitor for transformer no-load compensation
  • surge protection

Switchgears construction

The cuboid frame structure of the switchgears is constructed from thin-walled perforated sections with a semi-closed U-profile measuring 50x25. The pitch is 25 mm. The sections are joined together using corner connectors. Depending on the configuration and intended use, the supporting frame is supplemented with additional horizontal and vertical sections made from sections joined by straight and angle connectors. The switchgears frame is made of electro-galvanised sheet metal.

Operating environmental conditions

The switchgears aredesigned for operation in a temperate climate and are suitable for installation in the following environmental conditions:

• in enclosed spaces free from dust and chemical gases that are active or pose an explosion hazard, and free from electrically conductive dust

• at an ambient temperature:

– short-term peak +40°C (313 K)
– highest daily average +35°C (308 K)
– lowest sustained temperature: -25°C (248 K)

Standards compliance
The switchgears have Certificate No. 1025/NBR/2010 and meet the requirements of the following standards:

PN-EN 60439-2003+A2:2006 “Low-voltage switchgears and controlgear. Part 1: Assemblies tested to full and partial type tests.”

PN-EN 60529-2003 “Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP rating)”

• holds Certificate No. 1025/NBR/2010.
