Find out what the Sharky 473 ultrasonic transducer has to offer
The Sharky 473 is an ultrasonic flow transducer designed for cooperation with split heat meters. The device is used to measure water volume in heating, cooling and mixed hot/cold systems. It operates with water at temperatures ranging from 5°C to 130°C for flow rates of 0.6–2.5 m³/h and up to 150°C for higher flow rates (3.5–60 m³/h), at a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar (PN16). Thanks to ultrasonic technology, the flow meter offers very high measurement stability, low pressure losses and resistance to contamination and limescale build-up. The design allows installation in any position, without the need for straight pipe runs upstream and downstream of the flow meter. The power supply is provided directly from the heat meters, and the absence of moving parts ensures long-term, maintenance-free operation. By using the Sharky 473 ultrasonic transmitter, you gain:
High measurement accuracy and stability thanks to ultrasonic technology
Very low starting flow and low minimum flow rate
Capable of operating at a working pressure of up to 16 bar
High measurement dynamic range thanks to theqi/qp ratio of 1:100, for flow ratesof qp=1.4; 2.5; 6; 10; 15; 25m³/h, withthe qi/qp ratio of 1:250 as an option
Immunity to external magnetic fields
Flexible installation thanks to the ability to install it in any position
Ready for integration with measurement systems thanks to standard pulse outputs (1, 10, 100 l/pulse) and a test output
