With reference to current report no 30/2021 dated 27th July 2021, the Management Board of Apator SA announces that subsidiary - Apator Metrix SA concluded the contract with Landis+Gyr for the supply of smart gas meters within the framework of mass implementation of smart meters in Belgium.

The tender launched by the Belgian distribution network operators (Fluvius, ORES, RESA and Sibelga) and won by Landis+Gyr (Belgium) is for a DaaS Data-as-a-Service solution consisting of a central master system and smart meters.

Therefore, Apator Metrix SA as a partner of Landis+Gyr under the concluded contract resulting from the above tender will deliver in 2023 - 2031 ca. 1 million of iSMART2 smart gas meters of the value of ca. EUR 65 million (that is ca. PLN 300 million according to average exchange rate of NBP from 11th April 2022, 1 EUR= 4,6451 PLN).

The terms of the agreement concluded with Landis+Gyr, including regulations concerning liability, commitment and guarantee do not deviate from market conditions applied in this type of tenders in the EU.

This project is the largest implementation of a comprehensive multi-energy solution currently carried out in Europe. iSMART2 gas meters being the object of the contract are the new generation of smart gas meters, designed by Polish engineers and manufactured in Tczew-based plant of Apator Metrix with the application of advanced automation and robotization of manufacturing processes. The iSMART2 combines a new generation electronic counter with a reliable bellows gas meter, providing extensive functionality including remote encrypted two-way communication, an integrated gas shut-off valve, a graphical user interface and remote software upgrade capability.

Apator Metrix SA is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of high class gas meters in Poland and Europe. Together with subsidiaries it creates one of three business pillars of Grupa Apator - Gas segment. For years, the company has maintained a high position in export markets, generating over 70% of its revenue from exports and delivering its solutions to such countries as Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Up to this point the Company has produced almost 22 million of residential gas meters and 340 thousands of industrial gas meters operated in many regions of the world. Apator Metrix employs about 500 qualified workers and in its modern, automated manufacturing plant it manufactures annually about 2 million of gas meters.
