Application
PBD fuse bases are a fixed component of an industrial fuse, suitable for blade-type fuse links and designed to integrate them into the current path of electrical power distribution equipment. The bases are made of flame-retardant plastic, with copper jaw contacts—galvanically tin-plated—screwed onto them in sizes 00, 1, 2. Versions PBD F have silver-plated, whilst in size 3, the contacts are silver-plated as standard. Fuse bases are intended for installation in enclosed spaces (free from dust, corrosive or explosive gases), such as:
low-voltage cable distribution and utility cabinets,
LV switchgear and panels for industrial and power distribution,
low-voltage (LV) banks for reactive power compensation.
They may be installed at ambient temperatures ranging from -25°C to +55°C, at altitudes up to 2000 m above sea level, and outdoors in enclosures with a degree of protection of IP34 or higher.
