Tin plated (PBD) and silver plated (PBD F) copper contacts
Find out what the PBD 2 and PBD 2F fuse base has to offer
Designed as single-pole
Available cable connections: M10 screw terminal and V-clamp for cables up to 240 mm²
Application
PBD fuse bases are a fixed component of an industrial fuse, suitable for accommodating a blade-type fuse link and integrating it into the current path of electrical power distribution equipment. The bases are made of flame-retardant plastic, with copper jaw contacts—galvanically tin-plated—screwed onto them in sizes 00, 1, 2. Versions PBD 2F have silver-plated contacts, whilst in size 3, the contacts are silver-plated as standard. Fuseb ases are intended for installation in enclosed spaces (free from dust, corrosive or explosive gases), such as:
LV cable distribution and utility cabinets,
LV switchgear and panels for industrial and power distribution,
LV switchgear for reactive power compensation.
They may be installed at ambient temperatures ranging from -25°C to +55°C, at altitudes up to 2000 m above sea level, and outdoors in enclosures with a IP34 protection degree or higher.
