Street lighting efficiency audit
Ensure the highest quality data on your lighting infrastructure — a thoroughly conducted energy efficiency audit can improve safety, reduce energy costs and prepare your local authority for modernisation and securing funding.
What are the benefits of commissioning us to carry out a street lighting efficiency audit?
We fully understand our clients’ needs, which is why we carry out street lighting efficiency audits on a case-by-case basis, combining technical expertise with reliable field data. We provide full technical support at every stage, from infrastructure inventory, through analyses of technical parameters and photometric calculations, to the preparation of clear modernisation recommendations. For your convenience, we carry out the work directly on-site, using modern tools to support data collection. By choosing to engage in cooperation with us, you can count on:
accurately collected data on every street lighting fixture
full photographic and documentary records
photometric calculations for the modernisation options
selection of lighting classes in accordance with standards
modernisation recommendations, including calculations of energy savings and CO₂ reductions
the opportunity to secure funding thanks to comprehensive documentation
a complete map of light points in PDF format and GIS data
project cost estimate and tabular lists of lighting points
Sectors that most frequently make use of street lighting efficiency audits
Get a comprehensive overview of the state of street lighting
Accurate data, professional calculations and ready-made modernisation recommendations
Comprehensive data acquisition – the cornerstone of a reliable street lighting audit
Data collection involves a detailed on-site survey of lighting points, analyses of existing documentation, and the compilation of technical data for poles, luminaires, brackets and lighting cabinets. The process results in a comprehensive set of technical and photometric data, enabling the preparation of a professional energy efficiency audit. This allows the local authority or operator to make investment decisions based on reliable data, in accordance with the PN-EN 13201 standard and the requirements of funding schemes.
How does the energy efficiency audit process work?
First, we analyse the documents provided by the Client. We then carry out a site survey — every pole and every luminaire is measured, described, photographed and located in ARDOPOINT. The data obtained is validated and standardised, and then assigned to lighting sections and segments. The next stage involves photometric calculations, the selection of lighting classes and the preparation of modernisation options, e.g. 1:1 replacement, 1:1 with reduction in night-time lighting, 1:1 with a control system.
The end result is a complete audit report: maps, .xlsx spreadsheets, calculations, recommendations, and estimates of energy andCO₂reductions.
Why is a comprehensive audit involving an on-site inventory so important?
No other source of information can replace data obtained directly from the site.
Design documentation is often out of date, and previous records do not contain the parameters necessary to carry out an energy audit.
Only an on-site audit:
reveals the actual technical condition of luminaires and poles,
allows for an assessment of the correctness of the installation and lighting layout,
enables the correct selection of LED luminaires compliant with ENEC/ENEC+ and the PN-EN 13201 standard,
identifies realistic energy-saving opportunities,
ensures the reliability of photometric calculations.
Frequently Asked Questions
That’s right — without up-to-date, accurate data, it is impossible to produce reliable photometric or energy calculations.
Yes — our teams carry out audits for thousands of light points using our proprietary ARDOPOINT tool.
In practice, yes — however, it is not always possible to select the optimal luminaire within the existing lighting infrastructure. We do not recommend replacing, for example, a 150W sodium-vapour luminaire with an LED luminaire of over 150W, given that the pole is situated several metres away from the centreline of the carriageway. In such cases, we recommend adding or extending the lighting closer to the road in the locations we have indicated (where possible).
