SCADA/ADMS systems for the professional energy sector (windEX, TELEXUS)

Improve network reliability and respond effectively to incidents with comprehensive infrastructure monitoring

The benefits of implementing SCADA/ADMS systems in your organisation

SCADA/ADMS systems provide effective monitoring of energy infrastructure, enabling rapid decision-making and enhancing grid operational safety. They allow for remote control of equipment, automatic event analyses and real-time data visualisation. This gives you full insight into and control over the grid, which translates into increased operational efficiency.

By using SCADA/ADMS systems, you can, among other things:

monitor and control devices in real time, regardless of the scale of the network,

respond more quickly to faults and minimise power outages,

enhance infrastructure security through advanced control and authorisation mechanisms,

reduce service times through automation and comprehensive event logging,

analyse current and historical data in order to better plan the operation and modernisation of the network,

integrate the system with other platforms (AM, GIS, technical systems).

Who are SCADA/ADMS systems designed for?

Distribution network operators

The windEX and TELEXUS systems assist dispatchers in monitoring extensive electricity and gas networks, providing a comprehensive overview of the infrastructure’s status and the ability to control equipment remotely. They facilitate a rapid response to faults, direct analyses of incidents and optimal planning of maintenance work.

Industrial centres

SCADA/ADMS software enables the monitoring of local substations, power lines and critical infrastructure at production facilities, thereby helping to ensure the continuity of production processes. These solutions allow for the monitoring of energy consumption and the detection of anomalies. Furthermore, they can be integrated with other automation and Asset Management systems.

Waterworks

These systems support the efficient management of decentralised water and wastewater facilities, enabling the monitoring of flow rates and the operation of pumping stations and treatment plants. The software alerts users to any anomalies, providing a real-time overview of parameters. It also helps to optimise energy consumption and infrastructure maintenance costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have any other questions?

Yes, the windEX system can operate in its simplest configuration on a single computer running both the server and client components. In this case, the system simultaneously collects and displays data. For large areas of the power grid, such as an entire DSO network, a multi-server architecture is used, comprising 6, 8 or 10 servers located in different sites. These supply data to over 200 terminals.

Yes, windEX uses a Symmetric-Multi-Active architecture, in which all servers hold the full dataset and process it in parallel. This means that the failure of a single server does not disrupt the system’s operation. Service continuity is maintained as long as at least one server remains available.

The windEX licence is valid for life and places no limits on the number of variables. Users can enter any number of signals and data points without needing to upgrade their licence.

Yes, access is provided via a secure HTTPS connection. The scope of data and reports depends on the permissions granted. The administrator can grant users or groups of users access to specific schemas, reports or features. This ensures that they can only view the resources they are authorised to access, whilst the rest remains hidden.

Yes, the system offers multi-layered security at the server-to-server, server-to-client and server-to-object levels. It is possible to authenticate one or both parties to the connection, encrypt data transmission using TLS 1.2, and secure selected types of data requiring additional authorisation, such as control commands.

Yes, TELEXUS can operate in a single-server configuration, where a single computer acts as both server and client. For large or geographically dispersed areas, such as gas distribution networks, a multi-server architecture is recommended. Local servers located in different cities feed data to servers acting as a central monitoring hub.

Yes, TELEXUS can be deployed in a configuration that ensures service redundancy. This means that all servers store a complete set of data and can process it in parallel. The failure of a single server does not interrupt system operation, provided that the others remain active.

No, the TELEXUS licence is valid for life and there is no limit on the number of variables. The system can process any amount of measurement, operational and process data.

No, TELEXUS operates exclusively as a dedicated desktop application. The range of available data, diagrams and reports depends on the user’s permissions. The administrator can specify exactly which functions are available to a particular user.
