Frequently Asked Questions
There are no specific requirements for purchasing and subsequently using OMNITORUS. The system operates via wireless communication, and data is stored and analysed in the cloud.
The time required to implement the OMNITORUS system depends on several factors, including the number of measurement points and the type of media being monitored. Full implementation usually takes between 4 and 12 weeks.
The OMNITORUS system is fully compatible with meters manufactured by the Apator Group. In many cases, it can also be integrated with metering systems from other manufacturers. We assess each case individually prior to implementation.
Data from the meters is transmitted to the OMNITORUS system using an encrypted communication protocol, which protects it from unauthorised access. It can only be decrypted using a dedicated security key. Data transmission between the meter and the system takes place via a private APN, which provides additional protection against external access.
Furthermore, access to the platform is secured with a unique username and password, ensuring that user data is fully protected.
The meters are fitted with both internal and external antennas. In areas where signal quality does not meet the required standards, an external antenna with better performance is used instead of the internal one.
We assess network coverage during the pre-deployment analyses. Based on this, we select the appropriate type of antenna. If communication problems arise after installation, we verify the connection and, if necessary, replace the antenna with a more efficient one.
The costs of implementing the OMNITORUS system consist of two components: a fee for the metering equipment (meters) and a fee for access to the meter data. The fees vary and depend on the chosen cooperation model and the type of equipment applied.
Yes. The OMNITORUS system enables the reading of data relating to electricity, gas, heat and water, providing comprehensive monitoring of various types of utilities within a single platform.
The standard version of the OMNITORUS system is available under a SaaS (Software as a Service) model, whereby the system runs on external server infrastructure. Installation of the system on the customer’s servers is possible and is considered on a case-by-case basis.
The OMNITORUS system allows you to monitor all key electricity parameters, including reactive power (inductive and capacitive), reactive energy and the power factor (φ). This enables detailed analyses and optimisation of expenditure.
The system enables you to read and perform analyses of electricity consumption and generation, including from photovoltaic installations. This allows you to monitor the amount of energy fed into the grid and the efficiency of the PV system.
