We offer fuse links with a universal gG time-delay characteristic (formerly designated as gL), which provide comprehensive protection for cables, wires and general-purpose equipment.

NH fuse links cover a current range from 2 A for the smallest NH000 fuse links up to 630 A for the largest NH3 fuse links. This enables effective protection for both low-current circuits and high-load installations.

Of course. We offer solutions featuring visual indicators to signal when surge arresters have tripped, which also indicate varistor failure, for both low-voltage and medium-voltage equipment.

Our ASM-type MV overhead surge arresters are fitted with a silicone insulating coating which, thanks to its water-repellent properties, reduces the accumulation of dirt and moisture on the surface. As a result, leakage current is significantly reduced, as is the risk of sparking.

What are the risks of not having adequate safety measures in place?

Every electrical installation must be equipped with overcurrent and surge protection devices, designed to protect cables, equipment and electronics from the effects of short circuits, overloads and surges. Incorrect selection or improper installation of these components increases the risk of fire and damage to the installation, unplanned downtime, and consequently financial losses.

A lack of proper short-circuit protection may result in, amongst other things:

  • malfunction of the protection device (or its absence) at a critical moment,
  • a lack of selectivity in the operation of the protection,
  • damage to current paths and equipment in switchgears.

Incorrect surge protection, on the other hand, leads to:

  • damage to electrical equipment containing electronics
  • a reduction in the service life of insulation,
  • deterioration of the dielectric properties of cables.

How can you effectively protect equipment against surges and short circuits?

The basis of proper protection is a hierarchy of safeguards – from the main devices in the switchgears to additional, local modules protecting the most sensitive electronics (PLC controllers, inverters, etc.). Equally important is the compatibility of the protective devices within the installation, which ensures that, in the event of a fault, only the device closest to the short-circuit will trip, without switching off the other circuits.

The effectiveness of the entire system also depends on its technical condition, which is why regular inspection of earthing systems and periodic replacement of worn-out devices are crucial.
