Frequently Asked Questions
The activation of a single protection device or telemechanics system is defined as:
• switching on the power supply,
• checking the consistency of the current status of the contact inputs (at the device input)
with the data intended for transmission to the master system,
• checking a single control (on/off),
• checking a single measurement,
• establishing connectivity with the concentrator or master system.
Starting a single concentrator/controller is understood to mean:
• switching on the power supply,
• loading data into memory,
• checking connectivity with the master system,
• checking cooperation in telemechanics (signalling, control, measurements).
Unless otherwise specified in the Tender, the commissioning and testing of the facility does not include:
• the costs of detailed testing (not covered by the commissioning scope) of the proposed cooperation
devices with the facility,
• costs of the company’s service department participating in detailed testing of the cooperation of third-party devices with
the facility and the master system.
• the costs of the company’s service department participating in the facility acceptance tests.
To ensure the facility is commissioned efficiently, please prepare it as follows:
• SIM card, not inserted into the device. Please obtain the SIM card from your electricity supplier; APATOR SA does not provide SIM cards,
• a power supply at the site, e.g. a generator – Apator SA does not provide a power supply,
• controller installed at the site, connected to the power supply
• Antennas and other accessories, as well as devices designed for cooperation with the controller, must be installed and connected prior to commissioning
• if tests are to be carried out, please prepare a load simulator and personnel to operate it and conduct the tests – Apator SA does not provide a load simulator and does not carry out full tests (only participation in the testing of telemechanics)
• In the application of EAZs from manufacturers other than Apator SA – during the communication and connectivity testing phase with third-party protection devices, the presence of a protection engineer for the relevant device is required, e.g. uREG, e2Tango, Micom and others.
