Energy distribution and energy efficiency – how can power losses be avoided?

To ensure the efficiency of the installation, potential sources of loss must first be eliminated. These include, above all, overloaded circuits, incorrectly selected protective devices, or a lack of reactive power compensation. Correctly selected protective devices, such as switch disconnectors and fusebases, protect against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Capacitor banks, on the other hand, are responsible for reactive power compensation and the avoidance of additional charges. The careful selection of all these components guarantees stable operation of equipment, lower energy bills and a reduced risk of costly downtime

How can power flow in an electrical installation be managed intelligently?

The key to intelligent power flow management is automation. In the event of a failure, ATS systems automatically switch the network to a backup power supply, protecting loads from downtime.
Meanwhile, capacitor banks are responsible for optimising grid parameters, continuously compensating for reactive power and, as a result, eliminating the risk of additional costs.

The entire system operates on the basis of a solid foundation consisting of correctly selected switchgears and switchgear. This integrated approach guarantees continuity of power supply and control over the efficient operation of the installation.
