Every gas meter installed in a home or business must have a valid calibration certificate. This ensures that you only pay for the fuel you have actually used.
Verification is an official confirmation that a measuring instrument is functioning correctly and falls within the permissible error limits. It is a mandatory process, regulated by the Weights and Measures Act, which ‘approves the meter for use’. Thanks to verification, the readings from gas meters can form the basis for financial settlements between the gas supplier and the customer.
We carry out the recalibration of gas meters
How does the recalibration process work?
External inspection: An official checks whether the meter is mechanically damaged, whether it is legible, and whether its type is approved for use in Poland.
Metrological testing: The gas meters are connected to a measuring station. Air is passed through them at various flow rates, comparing the readings with a high-precision standard.
Issuing of verification marks: If the measurement errors are within the standard, new seals and markings indicating the year of verification are applied to the meter.
In Poland, for diaphragm gas meters, the verification is valid for 10 years. After this period, the gas network operator is obliged to replace the device with a new one or perform recalibration on it.
We will efficiently perform the recalibration of your gas meters
