Debate: ‘The strategic energy mix after 2030: Are we on the right track?’

During a debate held at the offices of *Puls Biznesu*, experts discussed the direction in which the Polish energy sector is heading, and whether the pace of the transition and the strategies adopted will enable the country to achieve its climate targets and ensure energy security.

The meeting took place on 16 October 2025 in Sopot during the European Forum for New Ideas.

Apator reveals details of its digital transformation

- In recent years, we have allocated a significant portion of our capital expenditure to the purchase and development of our machinery and the automation of production processes. “This is a deliberate response to growing cost pressures, including the rapid rise in the minimum wage, and a way to maintain the competitiveness and profitability of our products and services,” Sławomir Migała, Chief Operating Officer of Apator SA, told the WNP.PL portal.

- The digitisation and automation of networks present a huge opportunity, but also a serious threat. “The lack of verified technologies in critical infrastructure could, in the long term, prove to be a massive problem for national security,” said Maciej Wyczesany, Chairman of the Management Board of Apator SA, in an interview with WNP.PL. The cooperation between Apator and the network operator Enea Operator opens up new opportunities in the field of energy storage

On 3 October 2023, Enea Operator connected an industrial energy storage facility to the low voltage grid in Bydgoszcz. Its main purpose is to stabilise the power grid parameters in an area with a high concentration of Renewable Energy Sources. The project was carried out as part of the international eNeuron project and implemented by a consortium of two Polish companies, Apator and NRG Project.
